So! I joined Youtube many many years ago and in that time I didn't really do much with it at all. I've watched a lot of my friends over the years get into video making or streaming but it never really seemed like my kind of thing.
I have a tier on Patreon that I would do art streams on over on Picarto, but the price each month was draining me, especially on months I wasn't working on art but script or thumbnails instead. I'd been looking for an alternative for over a year on and off, something free that would let me do both public general streaming to gain a larger audience AND allow me to do private comic page Patreon art streams that only my Patreon subscribers would see.
Twitch seemed like an option for a while but the way that private streams functioned over there was really confusing to me. Plus the situation with VOD's on Twitch isn't ideal. I always like having all my videos available for people to watch later who couldn't see the live stream.

That's where Youtube Live comes in! It's free, I can use my ancient copy of OBS on my old old PC, I can make private Patreon streams, then do regular streams of art any other day. Plus since it takes place on Youtube itself I don't have to download huge videos onto my tiny PC and then reupload them as VODs to Youtube. It's all done automatically on Youtube. I know that Twitch is the most popular platform to stream on, but I'm going to give Youtube a go since it does everything I need it to right now.

Right now my channel is empty but I'm really looking forward to recording videos and hanging out with you all on Stream to get some of my backlog of art and fanart done! It helps motivate me. Maybe I could give Vtubing a go in the future! Imagine an Imagni Vtuber, or the other Creators hanging out on stream making art, that would be so fun.
