Hi everyone!
Just to let you know that throughout the month of February I’ve been slowly replacing the original pages with the edited versions for final printing on the site.
See, waay waaaay back when I started drawing current Engelbaum (2011) I created the first bunch of pages at the wrong size dimensions (thankfully not DPI) for the comics eventual printing into graphic novels. Over the years I’ve had different size recommendations thrown at me from various potential printers but the constant standard I use now is 4158×6284 at 600dpi (with bleeds) so I had to go back to fix (and find… oh god) my original layered master files and make sure all the weird empty space is used up by backgrounds and bleeds. It’s boring technical stuff but it was a huge roadblock to me and I couldn’t get my brain to just cooperate with tackling what needed to be done. It was super tedious. Especially because some of my oldest master files are not layered anymore but flat half-saved PSD files. BUT a big chunk of it is done now 🙂 Thankfully the other edits are all just mostly bubble color swaps and a couple of color edits to make every page consistent. My ideas change as I make the comic so I always have to go back and fix things I’m not cool with anymore. And don’t worry if you want to see the old pages from various iterations I’ll be putting them into an archive to view at some point in the future since I like being able to see things evolve myself.
If you’re curious to know if a page has been edited i’ll always put the last edit date in the box underneath it like *Last Edited 17th February 2025, plus it will be pretty obvious if Imagni has purple speech bubbles that it’s an old page still. I’ll be continuing to work on this alongside the new comic pages which I’ve been building up on my Patreon for chapter 3. Plus I also have to continue with those character refs I was in the middle of before my PC ate them last year.

No rest for the undercaffinated~ 🙂
